For the first time, we are please to offer Indigenous Travel Grants to attend the 2023 Townsville conference. These grants of up to $1000 are available to assist with travel and accommodation for Indigenous presenters and co-authors at the SETAC AU Conference.
The SETAC AU Indigenous Travel Grants will be awarded on a case-by-case basis in accordance with the criteria set out below. The aim is to maximise participation from Indigenous representatives where possible. *Note, the applicant is not required to be a current SETAC AU member.
To apply for the award, please download the template here, complete and return to firstname.lastname@example.org before the deadline of Friday 30th June. Please include a copy of your abstract. In addition, please ensure you answer the award questions during your abstract submission on the portal link provided.
APPLICANTS WILL BE ASSESSED AS FOLLOWS:
As the grant application deadline falls after the abstract submission deadline, all applicants, regardless of if they are successful or not, will be granted Early Bird registration rates. Award funds will be transferred electronically by SETAC AU to the awardee’s nominated account. The awardee will be required to sign and return a document stating thar they will only use the funds for the purposes of attending the conference.
