We are pleased to offer Student Travel Awards to attend the 2023 Townsville conference for SETAC student members who have an abstract accepted for presentation (poster or oral presentations). The Award will be for $1,500 to be used towards travel, accommodation and conference registration.
To apply for the award, please download the template HERE, complete and return to email@example.com before the deadline of Friday 19th May. Please include a copy of your abstract with your application.
Applications will be assessed as follows:
1. Preference will be given to final year PhD students intending to give an oral presentation. All other students are still welcome to apply.
2. Preference will be given to students travelling the greatest distance to Townsville. All other students are still welcome to apply.
3. Abstracts included in the application (see template) will be assessed against the following criteria:
a. The research/study is well justified.
b. The abstract contains information on new, original research content or scientific concepts.
c. The abstract contains sufficient technical data and description to explain the results and support the conclusions.
Successful applicants of the SETAC AU Student Travel Awards 2023 will be notified before the conference Early Bird registration deadline. Award funds will be transferred electronically by SETAC AU to the awardee’s nominated account. The student will be required to sign and return a document stating
